Beatrice Harrison Carter Brown

Beatrice Harrison Carter Brown, 77, of Star City, died Wednesday at Lincoln Heights Healthcare. She was born April 15, 1937 in Star City to the late Charlie "C.B." and Ella Mae Chinn Harrison. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Star City and was a homemaker. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Adam Harrison, Curtis Harrison, Calvin Harrison and Elvie Harrison; three sisters, Rosie Ballinger, Nora Henderson and Susie Vest; daughter-in-law, Beverly Lownes-Carter and grandson, Chris Carter. Survivors include three sons, Dennis (Beverly) Carter of Monticello, Carl Carter of Scott and Larry Carter of Monticello; three daughters, Wanda St. John of Star City, Debbie Bennett of Monticello and Ellen Holland of Star City; one brother, Jason Harrison of Star City; one sister, Eve Robinson Bates of Star City; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Johnny Wall officiating. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial at Holly Springs Cemetery.
