Clay Martin Wimberly

Clay Martin Wimberly, 46, died on September 26, 2014 in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was born on September 5, 1968 and was the son of Wayne and Lynn Lindsey of Little Rock, Ark. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Wimberly; sister, Allison Wimberly; grandparents, Clay and Carrie Hansen and D. E. and Allie Wimberly. He is survived by his parents; sisters, Beth Wimberly Hohfeler (Jay); Mary Kate Wimberly; Elaine Lindsey Porter (Robert); brother, Todd Lindsey (Gwen); seven nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends. Clay lived in Little Rock until adulthood and claimed Little Rock as home. At the time of his death, he worked in the construction field in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he had resided for two years. He was a lifelong member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. His passions in life were his family, nature, hiking, carpentry, cooking, and reading. Also high on his list of favorites would be the Buffalo River, Beaver Lake, and many other beautiful spots in Arkansas and Alaska. He was kind and caring, and had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6, at 3: p.m. at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. A reception will follow in the Great Hall. There will be a private interment in the church Columbarium Garden.
