Doris Alberta Stewart

Doris Alberta Stewart, 85, went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2014 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on August 29, 1929, in Everett, Mich. to George and Netti (Rimmer) Manzer. She was a stay-at-home mother who enjoyed her time spent at church, roller skating, gardening, flea markets, the lake and embroidering. Doris married Richard Carr and they were happily married for 30 years, until his passing in 1981. She married Larry Stewart in 1982, until his death in 2007. Doris is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; sisters, Mary Little, Evelyn Hollingshead, Elsie Tylor; brother, William Manzer; and son, Richard Carr. She is survived by Linda Jeffreys, Vickie Stine, Cheryl Stevenson, Mary Jane White, and Glenda Henderson; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Friday, October 3 at First Pentecostal Church of Gravel Ridge. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
