Margie Marie Jarvis, 88, of Bryant went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at her home. She was born April 20, 1926 in Austin, Ark. to the late Samuel W. and Nancy W. Robbins Ridgeway. Mrs. Jarvis had worked at Kellwood as a seamstress for 20 years and loved reading, crocheting and doing things outdoors. She was a loving and caring person and her belief in the Lord and raising her seven children were most important in her life. Besides her parents, who she lost at an early childhood age, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 ½ years, Frank E. Jarvis; nine brothers and five sisters. Margie Marie was the youngest, but outlived all of her siblings. Survivors include three sons, Frank F. Jarvis of Prairie Grove, Ark., Sam Jarvis (Connie) of Little Rock and Steve Jarvis (Sue) of Hill City, S.D.; one stepson, James F. Jarvis of Walla Walla, Wash.; four daughters, Alice Elaine (Bill) Rice of Belton, Mo., Shirley M. (Ken) McEuen of Benton, Sandra L. (Kenneth) Kempson of Shirley, Ark. and Joyce (Cesar) Rivera of Huffman, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. No public service is planned. Arrangements are by Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047). Cystic Fibrosis was dear to Mrs. Jarvis' heart since her grandson had it, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Suite 200, Bethesda, MD 20814. The family would like to especially thank all the caregivers of Baptist Health Hospice and everyone who was so kind to their mom in their time of need.
