Lona Balding, 98 of Benton, passed away October 8, 2014. She was born September 15, 1916 in Benton to the late William R. and Laura Robinson Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Balding, sons, James M. Balding, Jr. and Gary R. Balding. Lona is survived by her son, Donald E. Balding and wife Debbie, of Glen Rose, daughters, Carolyn Willis and husband Joe, of Benton, and Joyce Plaisance and husband LeRoy, of Benton, sisters, Alice Laplant of Benton, Dorothy Shelnut, of Benton, Jean Gault, of Haskell, sister-in-law, Charlene Moore, Benton; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
