Mable Geneva Windham

Mable Geneva Windham, 86, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at McGehee Desha County Hospital in McGehee, Arkansas. She was born on April 16, 1928 in Wellington, TX to the late Albert M. and Carrie Lee Boyd Kitchens. Mable had worked for McGehee Industries for 20 years. She formerly managed her family's grocery store, Windham's Food Store. Mable loved to sew, garden and quilt. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in McGehee, Ark. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Windham; sons; Ronald Windham and Charles Ray Windham; brothers, Bill Kitchens, Marion Kitchens, and Edward Kitchens; sisters, Flossie Hurst, Lula Mae Morton, Robbie Jo Summerford, and Alice Virginia Kitchens. Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Irby and husband Howard of McGehee, Ark. and Patricia Singh and husband Gursarn; 11 grandchildren, Cindy Morgan, Dewayne Windham, Daniel Bittle, Kris Bittle, Angela Lock, Jonathan Windham, Amanda Singh Tyree, Samantha Chaney, Rebekah Singh, Debbie Bryant, and Jackie Archer; 19 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5–7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
