Verdia Mae Bland Ridout

Verdia Mae Bland Ridout, 78, of 9 Flag Rd., Little Rock, Ark. was called home to Heaven on October 18, 2014. She was born in Wrightsville, Ark. on January 24, 1936 to the late Harold Bland & Corine George Bland.
Verdia was married to the late Rev. Dr. Curtis Ridout Jr. and served as First Lady of Greater Second Baptist Church for 46 years. Verdia Ridout's love, compassion and listening ear was shared by thousands of parishioners over the course of 50 years in service to the Lord. She was a friend, teacher, mentor & confidant to countless members and acquaintances.
Verdia Ridout was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Stella Bland McBride Mctyre. She is survived by a son, Jason Ridout (Corla); two grandchildren, Olivia and Layla Ridout; a host of family and friends.
