Daniel Phillip Montgomery

Daniel Phillip Montgomery, 75, of Benton passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his home. He was born May 14, 1939 in Hot Springs, Ark. to the late Doyle and Fern (Baber) Montgomery. He drove for ABF for over 33 years with a perfect driving record award and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Montgomery was a member of Teamsters Local #878 and was a protestant. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Montgomery and one brother, Walter Clyde Montgomery. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Linda Montgomery of Benton; one son, Danny Montgomery, Jr. of Mt. Ida; three daughters, Montina Barnett (James) of Hot Springs, Stacey Diggins (Michael) of Mayflower, and Robin Brown (Eddy) of Sherwood; one brother, Mitch Warren (Shirley) of Helena; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with grandsons Justin Mitchell and Michael Sutton officiating.
