Mary Lee Kelly

Mary Lee Kelly, 82, went to be with the lord October 22, 2014. She was born August 8, 1932 in Hayesville, N.C. to her late parents, John Furman Wheeler & Eva Mae Wheeler. She came to Arkansas in 1950 with her late husband Daniel Kelly who retired after 20 years from the air force. Mary is survived by three children: Gene Kelly, Kaye Leary & Randy Kelly & Randy's wife Tracy, all living in Arkansas. She is also survived by one grandchild, Savannah Paige Boozer & her husband Jared Boozer both live in Arkansas. Survived also by two great-grandchildren. She has four surviving siblings: Terry Wheeler & his wife Hatti, Delthia Shook, Johnny Mae Wheeler & Joyce Nations all of Georgia. Also survived by her longtime friend & companion Hank Leseman of Little Rock. Mary loved life & it showed in the way she lived her life everyday. Anybody that got to know her knew she was always thinking about other people. If anybody needed anything she would give them the shirt off her back. Her hard working nature drove her to open Kelly's TV on Baseline Road in 1967 while her husband was in the Air Force. He retired from the Air Force in 1970 & joined her there. The business closed in 1989 & Mary continued staying busy doing many things & being active in church. Always concerned & caring of other people. Mary was also a great cook & had a unique green thumb. Mary was very loved & will be truly missed. She really enjoyed spending time & traveling with her longtime friend Hank Leseman. Hank said it best, "Mary went to angel school when she was with God. She practiced being an angel for 82 years on earth. Returning to God she will not need a refresher course." Services held at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark. 72117.
