James Hall Halbert, age 78, of Fayetteville went home to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. He passed away at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born June 15, 1936 in Bauxite, Ark. to Hall Alexander Halbert and Vivian Hodge Halbert. James owned and operated Halbert's Veterinary Supply from 1976 until his retirement in 2013. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale, Ark. and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He enjoyed anything associated with airplanes, playing golf and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents Hall and Vivian Halbert. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn (Bierwirth) Halbert; one daughter, Denise (Halbert) Dossett and husband, Mark, of Springdale, Ark.; four grandchildren, Drake Crowell, Cooper, Sophie and Ava Dossett; a brother, Paul Halbert and wife, Nancy, of Pearcy, Ark.; a sister, Margaret (Halbert) Wallace and husband, Al, of Conway, Ark.; an aunt, Evans (Hodge) Caple and husband, Raymond, of Bryant, Ark.; an aunt, Bobbie (Halbert) Hale of Benton, Ark. and numerous other nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Ark. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 1800 W. Emma Ave., Springdale, AR 72762.
