Catherine Davidson of Severn, Md., formerly of North Little Rock, Ark., died October 22, 2014 from stroke related illnesses. She was predeceased by parents, Earnest and Alice Davidson, and brother, Earnest Davidson, Jr. Prior to moving back to Arkansas to care for her ill mother, she spent most of her professional life in Prince George's County, Md. After her mother's death, she joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Victor Moore. During her youth, she had membership at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, under Rev. Dr. OC Jones. Catherine graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1983, and attended Howard University School of Social Work from 1995-1996, until she became ill. An educator, she taught special education in the Prince Georgia's County School System. While living in Arkansas, she worked as a substitute teacher in the Little Rock School District. During her youth, she was a member of the North Little Rock NAACP Youth Council, and with her teenage siblings, under leadership of Civil Rights icon Daisy Bates, forced public facilities to end racial segregation in the city. She married Jack Williams in 1973 and Osajele Ehikhamenor in 1987. She is survived by sons, N. David Williams, and T. Dewayne Williams (Dawn); and Earnest Davidson III, whom she reared when he moved from Arkansas to Maryland to finish high school; daughter, Jack Quelyn Williams; siblings, Sarah Davidson, Silver Spring, Md.; Della Davidson Cade (Bernard), Los Angeles, Calif.; and Jimmie Davidson (Reffela), Huntsville, Ala.; 10 grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 1, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 850 Atkinson-Rhodes Street, North Little Rock, Ark., with Rev. Victor Moore officiating. Family visitation, Friday, October 31, 2014 from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at Hubble Brothers Funeral Home, 1213 Washington Avenue, North Little Rock, Ark. 72114. Interment at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
