JOE S. BOWLING, 89, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on July 1, 1925 in Formosa, Ark. to Will N. and Velma Simpson Bowling. He was a member of the Maumelle Church of Christ. He retired from International Paper Co. after 33 years as a Quality Control Clerk. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lodie Gay Bowling. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn Green Bowling; son, Bill Bowling of Birmingham, Ala.; daughter, Sarah Bowling of Bentonville, Ark.; step-daughter, Susan Beard of Wagoner, Okla.; stepsons, Stuart Dent of Sheridan, Ark. and Scott Dent of Little Rock, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6707 Dollarway Road, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71602.
