Henry R. Morehart Jr., 88, of Mabelvale, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 7, 2014, at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock. He was born October 23, 1925, in Mabelvale, Arkansas, a son of the late Henry R. and Lillie E. (Orick ) Morehart Sr. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter; his brothers and sisters, Minnie M. Lemaire, Lindsey W. Morehart, Lillian M. Boatman, Warren H. Morehart, Henryetta Smith and Charles T. Morehart. Henry was a member of Mabelvale United Methodist Church where he had served on the Board of Stewards and in other service capacities of the church. He was an Army veteran of World War II, last stationed in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, where he was a MP. He was a graduate of Mabelvale High School and Draughon Business College; and had completed the Dale Carnegie Course. Mr. Morehart worked for Southern Farmers Association for many years and had a daily radio program at noon on KARN. Later in life he owned and operated Plants Etc. on Baseline Road. Henry is survived by his former wife, Doris Hooten Morehart of North Little Rock and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. A visitation will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Graveside service to follow at 2 p.m., at Pine Crest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
