It is with great sadness that the family of O. Nelson Anderson, Jr. announces his passing Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the age of 68 years. Nelson was born on January 5, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nelson was a Navy Veteran, serving during Vietnam. Nelson enjoyed doing work as a blacksmith, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. Nelson spent time as part of the Early Arkansas Reenactment Association. Nelson will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Suzie, his father, Oswald Anderson Sr., his children, Scott (Stacey) Laster, Jay (Jeannie) Laster, Gabe (Brandi), Betsy (Adam) Skinner, Michael (Rita), Ashley (Christopher) Sharpe, Elizabeth (Lance) Harness, Billy (Nicole) Koch, Jonathan (Tina) Koch, his grandchildren, Scotty, Michael, Justin, Seth, Cody, Dylan, Madison, Madelyn, Haven, Landen, Kelby, Samuel, Thomas, Jessica, and Little John. Nelson is also fondly remembered by his siblings Oweta (Bob) Thompson, Brenda (Bill) Hudson, Betty Ann (Pete) Tinkle, Randy, and Terry (Kitty), his mother and father in-law Pauline and Thurman "Jay" Rhodes, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Nelson was preceded in death by his mother Betty Ann Butler and brother William P. Butler Jr. A memorial service for Nelson will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 12 noon at the Crosspoint Baptist Church, 48 Glenn Lane, Greenbrier.
