Boyd Williams

Boyd Williams, 68, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 25, 2014 at his home in Bella Vista. He was born on March 31, 1946 in Helena, Ark. to Hugh Williams and Corinne Swift Williams. He grew up in the Marvell, Ark., area. He was a former Police Chief of Helena Police Department. He worked for Walmart Corporate Security for over 10 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, duck hunter at Maddox Bay with his brother Bill and friends, Don Ansley and John Purcell, as well as a talented artist. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Boyd Swift Williams Jr. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pat Williams of Bella Vista, Ark.; one son, Jimmy Williams of Bella Vista, Ark.; and brother, Bill Williams and wife, Louise of Franklin, Ark.; three nieces, Jennifer Trotter and family, Laura Fowler and family, Elizabeth Lehman and family; and two grandchildren, Paiton and Jimmy Jr. A Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Helena, Ark.
