Vera A. Massey, 82, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014. Cryptside service: 1 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Mausoleum. Guests will gather inside the funeral home before being ushered to the mausoleum for the service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Union Gospel Mission or your preferred charity in her name. Vera was born Feb. 2, 1932 in Winchester, Arkansas; the daughter of John Henry and Delores Linder Lack. She was a true believer in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her brother, Royce Lack and sister, Peggy M. Glass. Survivors: husband, John R. Massey; daughter, Tamara Mayes and son-in-law, James Mayes; son, John Scott Massey; grandson, Mitchell Mayes; and sister, Bobbye Draheim.
