Billie Joe Crutchfield of Prattsville, Arkansas was born January 20, 1932 at Prattsville, the son of the late Lawrence and Jo Reynolds Crutchfield. He was an active member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville for many years, where he served as a Deacon, and in years past, a Sunday school teacher. He was a United States Army Veteran, member of the IBEW, and was retired from AP&L (Entergy) after 33 years, as a Journeyman Lineman. He enjoyed working around his farm and spending time with his family. Mr. Crutchfield died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock at the age of 82. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, W.D. Crutchfield, and two sisters, Marie Arnold and Lorene Crutchfield. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Juanita Ashley Crutchfield of Prattsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Margaret Crutchfield of Little Rock, and Daniel and Lisa Crutchfield of Prattsville; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Brian Harrington of Prattsville; brother, Marion Crutchfield of Prattsville; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Crutchfield of Michigan, Oleta Jean Norwood of California, and brother-in-law , Orville Ashley and wife Becky of Prattsville; grandchildren, Evan Crutchfield, Jarod Crutchfield, Kelsey Wilson, Danielle Crutchfield, Amy Harrington, Erin Harrington. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville.
