Phillip Gary Hamilton

Phillip Gary Hamilton, age 65 of Cabot, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2014 in the Arkansas Hospice wing at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas due to the progression related to ALS disease. He was born January 23, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Billy Mac and Marion Lucille Johnson Hamilton He is also preceded in death by sister: Maxine Bland. Phillip graduated from Humes High School in 1967 and received a bachelor's degree in education from University of Tennessee Martin in 1971. In Phillip's previous years, he was a member of Troop 27 at Decatur Street Christian Church, and received the God and Country award while being a member of the troop. "Big Red" was an honorable mention as a center and line backer at Humes High School. He was voted Best All Around "Who's Who". He later started the flag football team in Cabot. Phil was also the founder and President of an advertising company called AdVenue. Phil loved people and had a gift to make anyone laugh, and definitely was a fighter all the way to the end. Phillip is survived by wife: Julia of Cabot, two daughters: Kristen Hamilton of El Paso, Arkansas and Britney Hamilton of Ft. Worth, Texas, two brothers: Edward Donald Hamilton of Olive Branch, Mississippi and David Hamilton of Brazoria, Texas, three grandsons: Tristan Hamilton, John Daniel Roach and Guy Roach, and a lifelong best friend: Gene Baker of Little Rock, Arkansas.
