Dorothy "Dot" Frances Taylor Bilon, 87, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, September 23rd. Born in Jackson, Mississippi to Frank and Elizabeth Taylor, Dot graduated from Central High School and married John Bilon, becoming a military wife and the proud mother of three sons. A homemaker, she cherished above all else her family and her church, which she served by singing in the choir and playing hand bells. She loved watching sports, doing volunteer work, cooking, playing bridge and bird watching. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Taylor and sister, Juanita Giffin and her husband of 67 years, Col. John Bilon Dot leaves to cherish her memory her sons John (Frances) Bilon of Newnan, Ga., Lawrence (Jane Ann) Bilon of Sherwood and Stephen (Kathleen) Bilon of Cabot; grandchildren Clanton Bilon, Jonathan Bilon, Wes Bilon, James Bilon, Geoff Winant and Justin Winant, nine great-grandchildren and her caregiver and best friend, Beverly Bond. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28th from 3-5 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 29th at Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, 9921 Hwy. 107, Sherwood, Ark. with internment immediately following at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
