Lawrence Marion Crutchfield

Lawrence Marion Crutchfield of Prattsville, Arkansas was born March 17, 1929 at Prattsville, the son of the late Lawrence and Jo Reynolds Crutchfield. He was an active member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church at Prattsville, where he formerly served as Sunday School teacher and served as Deacon for 55 years. He retired from AP&L (Entergy) as a substation electrician,and was a United States Army Veteran, having served two combat tours during the Korean Conflict. He belonged to American Legion Post 30 and enjoyed gardening. Mr. Crutchfield died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 85. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Crutchfield; a son, Jeffrey Crutchfield; two brothers, Billie Joe Crutchfield and W.D. Crutchfield; two sisters, Marie Arnold and Lorene Crutchfield. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Tammy Crutchfield and Paul and Leann Crutchfield, all of Prattsville; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Crutchfield of Michigan and Juanita Crutchfield of Prattsville; grandchildren, Keith and wife Crystal Crutchfield, Kara and husband Jason Holiman, Kelcey Crutchfield, P.J. Crutchfield, Sidney Crutchfield; great-grandchildren, Reese Holiman, Lyza Crutchfield, Landrie Crutchfield, Laekyn Crutchfield, Harbor Veitch; numerous other family members and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church at Prattsville, with Bro. Neal Pumphrey, Bro. Doney Blackerby and Bro. Shawn Hill officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation is Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 37, Prattsville, Arkansas 72129. Pallbearers will be Harold Holiman, Wayne Crutchfield, Steven Crutchfield, Daniel Crutchfield, Jerald Fuell, Joe Lynn Fuell.
