Mary Louise Runyon Szafranski Moon, 83, of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Valdosta, Georgia, passed over Friday, September 19, 2014. She worked for PCSSD and Arkansas Science & Technology Authority. She was a member of the EGA Diamond Chapter, sang with the Arkansas Choral Society, was a Life Member of the VFW Post #4548 Auxiliary, and proud member of the Red Hat Society. She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; first husband, Harry Szafranski; and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Szafranski. She is survived by her children, Michael Szafranski, Catherine (Wesley) Bennefield, John (Doris) Szafranski, Karin Griffin, Elizabeth (Travis) Strackbein, Deborah (Steve) Moore, Jennifer (Jason) Minton, and Christine (Frank) Earley; grandchildren, Susan and Christopher Szafranski, Kaitlin Hinkle, Roxanne (David) Council, Amanda (Michael) Lake, Kimberly Bennefield, Eddie (Meredith) McMinn, Brandi (James) Mixon, Andy Griffin, Zachary (Trisha) and Jared Strackbein, Melissa (Morgan) Barry, Sara Minton, Stephanie (Randy) Runshe, Kayla (Trey) Renuard; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Mckenna, Owen, Genevieve, Zoe, Rachel, Taylor, Chandler, Braydyn, Izayah, and Wyatt. She's also survived by her special family member, Kay Szafranski. A celebration of her life will be held at Rest Hills in NLR on Saturday, September 27 at 10 a.m. All Red Hat Sisters are invited to attend in Full Regalia.
