Bobbie Dean Thigpen Shepherd

BOBBIE DEAN THIGPEN SHEPHERD, 83, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Sept. 27, 2014. She was born Jan. 24, 1931 to Andy and Arkie Thigpen of DeWitt. She retired from Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting after 38 years of service. She was also a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary and the "O'er the Hill Gang" at VFW Post 9095. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, John "Bill" Shepherd Jr.; son, Jerry D. Shepherd; granddaughter, Kelly Ann Sweeney; parents; five brothers and four sisters. Those remaining to cherish the memories of Bobbie include her twin sister, Billie J. Hanuschak of Ohio; daughter, Diane Alford (Odell) of Little Rock; three grandchildren: Shelly Gentry, Jebediah Shepherd and Brenda Waleszonia; six great-grandchildren: J.W. Sweeney, Bobby Hawkins, Shelby Hawkins, Ally Hawkins, Sarah Waleszonia and Erik Shepherd; three great-great-grandchildren: Hunter Hawkins, Skylar Ann Sweeney and Easton Hawkins and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211, (501) 224-8300. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
