Charles Emerson Knox

Charles Emerson Knox, 72 of Lonoke passed away Sept. 27, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center. He was retired from the AAEA. He coached at Jacksonville, was principal at Cabot and Batesville Schools, superintendent of Ozark Schools and retiring from Lonoke Schools as superintendent. He was a member of Lonoke First United Methodist Church. He also loved playing golf. He is survived by a daughter, Kristi McGee and husband Terry of Batesville; brother, Richard Knox and wife Mary Ann of Little Rock; sister, Debbie Sanders and husband Jim of Greers Ferry; three grandchildren, Brittney Wilder and husband Josh, T.J. McGee and Leslie McGee; two great-granddaughters, Taysia and Aaliyah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Knox and his parents, Lewis and Maxine Knox. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 at Boyd Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Lonoke First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Mt.
