Marion Mize Jacks

Marion Mize Jacks, 80 of Pine Bluff died Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born May 10, 1934 in Sherrill, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Marion Mize and Clara Watson Mize. Mrs. Jacks was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, she was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School Class of 1952. She was also a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello School of Nursing. Marion Mize married Billy Earl Jacks on September 11, 1952. Billy Earl passed away on September 26, 1983. Marion was a Registered Nurse and worked at Jefferson Regional Hospital. She also worked in the family business, Three Star Muffler of North Little Rock. Mrs. Jacks was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church. She was a member of Lydia Sunday School Class. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 40 for over 50 years. Mrs. Jacks was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Harvey Mize and Marshall Mize; two sisters Ola Turner and Reba Ford and granddaughter, Casey Fedder and great-grandson, Preston Fedder. Survivors include a son, Billy Earl Jacks, Jr. and four daughters, Diane (George) Duke of Pine Bluff, Jan Brickey (Steaven) Ashcraft of Little Rock, Sandy Gaye Glover of Hot Springs, Gail (Tom) Parker of Pine Bluff; five granddaughters, three grandsons, two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, a brother Dr. Roby Mize of Dallas, Texas, a sister, Inez Brown of Pine Bluff, and loving friend of many years, Travis Rodgers, and many nieces and nephews. The visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Watson Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, by Ralph Robinson and Son. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Watson Chapel Baptist Church, 5514 Pinnacle Lane, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71603.
