Clara Duncan

Clara Elizabeth Duncan, age 88, of Summit, Arkansas joyfully entered the gates of Heaven Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born June 17, 1926, to the late Clarence E. and Ruth (Potts) Thomas in Morrilton, Arkansas. She had been a resident of the area since 1961, moving here from Little Rock. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and playing the piano, having taught herself to play as a teenager. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She worked as bookkeeper for Allen's Grocery in Summit for several years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Charlie Allen of Summit, Arkansas; one grandson and his wife, Tony and Shelly Allen of Summit, Arkansas; four great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Duncan; her granddaughter, Gina Allen; and her great-grandson, Samuel Allen. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Plumerville Cemetery in Plumerville, Arkansas, with her son-in-law, Charlie Allen officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House at 774 Long Street, Mountain Home, Ark. 72653. Arrangements are by Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
