Peggy Lee Madison Strange, 84, of White Hall, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. Born September 26, 1930 in Bradley County, she was a daughter of the late Captain Coilet Madison and Mellie Lewis. As charter member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, Mrs. Strange was instrumental in developing food pantry programs and other services helping those in need. She also served as a Sunday school teacher and Senior Adult Ministry Team. She retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal in 1985 after 32 years of service as the head of the personnel department. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Strange was preceded in death by two brothers, Rogers and Morton Madison. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Harold G. Strange; sons, H. Glen Strange Jr. (Carroll), Barry Strange (Anita), and Steven Strange (Lesa); brother, Alton "Sonny" Lewis Jr.; five grandchildren, Scott Strange, Erin Applewhite, Melanie Thornton, Seth Strange and Bradley Strange; seven great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South. Online condolences: FullerFunerals.com.
