Janie Mullins Sims

Janie Mullins Sims of Lubbock (formerly of Petersburg) died on February 1. Janie was born in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Lester and Ethel Mullins. She married LT. A. Milton Sims and they lived in Amarillo, Childress, and Plainview, before moving to Petersburg. He preceded her in death in April, 1992. Janie has resided in Lubbock since 2009. She is survived by two sons: Bob Sims of Castle Pines, Colo. and Dave Sims of Canyon and a sister: Beth Paulson of Little Rock, Ark. She has five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Janie was active in local and national United Methodist Women organizations and served as Matron and Deputy Grand Matron in the Order of Eastern Star.
