Doyle H. Franklin

Doyle H. Franklin, age 84, of the Shiloh Community was reunited with his wife in Heaven on February 4, 2015. He was born march 9, 1930 the son of Robert and Ethel Teddlie Franklin. Mr. Franklin served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years. He served as Senior Master Sergeant and was stationed in locations throughout the United States as well as Thailand, Italy, and Korea. After retiring from the service, he relocated with his family to the Shiloh Community. He loved to travel with his wife and spend time with his grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Anna Lois Morris Franklin and son, Danny Franklin. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James "Baldy" Franklin, Clarence "Button" Franklin, Julius Franklin, Carl "Crickett" Franklin, Robert Franklin and an infant sister. Survivors include two sons, Randy Franklin and his wife Linda of the Shiloh Community and Ricky Franklin and his wife Cathy of Jasper, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Derek Franklin and his wife Jill and their sons, Elijah and Ezra, A.J. Franklin and his wife Sarah and their children Abram and Lilly of Little Rock, Zach Franklin and wife Alicia and their daughter Lizzie of Memphis, Tyler Franklin and wife Brooke and their children Wade, Zoey, and Allie of Benton, Austin Franklin and Mary Franklin of Jasper, Texas and Nova Franklin of Shiloh. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday February 5th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. A service celebrating Doyle's life will be Friday, February 6th at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Billy Haygood officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will be in the Southfork Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the outstanding staffs of Baptist Health Medical Center Arkadelphia and Twin Rivers Health and Rehab for their compassionate care.
