ANDREW WILLIAM "A.W." BRADLEY joined his wife in heaven on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 3:20 p.m. with his loved ones beside him. What a reunion that must have been! He was born Oct. 13, 1916 in Adona, Ark. A.W. was married for 69 years to Katherine Knesal Bradley. Together they had one daughter, Kathy of whom A.W. often said was his greatest blessing and accomplishment. Everyone who knew A.W. would agree he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He enjoyed helping others anyway he could; his generosity knew no bounds. He made weekly trips to Hot Springs to take his wife to the horse races, but his favorite part of Oaklawn was the corned beef sandwiches. He also loved getting "Hot Springs water" to bring home because according to him it was "the best water." Good company always surrounded A.W. He had many friends; he never knew a stranger. A.W. enjoyed style as evidenced by his wardrobe and also loved a great meal enjoyed with family and friends. His life was "beautiful". He is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; parents, Dock Acey and Maggie Bradley and sisters, Jewell Wofford, Minnie Sherrod and Edna Wert. He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Gwatney Hardison and her husband, Chris Hardison; granddaughters and their spouses, Christian and Chris Baker and Chase and Matthew McKay; great-grandsons, Peyton Baker and William McKay; his brother, D.A. Bradley and numerous nieces and nephews. The family is so grateful to his caregivers especially Billie Tucker who had been with both Katherine and A.W. The family expresses gratitude to Dr. Liu and the staff at Hospice Home Care Inpatient Center for the care A.W. received the last week of his life. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary following at 7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wolfe Street Foundation or the charity of your choice. Online guestbook is available at www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
