Edwin "Don" Wamble Sr.

EDWIN "DON" WAMBLE SR., 72 of Little Rock, Ark. departed this life on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015. He was born on Feb. 14, 1942 in Little Rock, Ark. and was the oldest of eight sisters and nine brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faustine Wamble; his father, Amos Wamble; his mother, Jessie Moore and his step-father, Wadie Moore Sr. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1962. He attended Western New England University in Springfield, Mass. He served in the United States Army and the Vietnam War. While in the army he received an "Expert (Rifle M-14) award, a "Good Conduct Medal" award and a "Vietnam Service Medal." He retired from Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance after 32 years of service as a computer analyst. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Charmaine (Antonio) Henry of Morrow, Ga.; Donna Willis of Little Rock and son, Edwin "Don" (Ericka) Wamble Jr. of Jonesboro, Ga. Eight sisters, Brenda Hornaday of Round Rock, Texas; Judy (Howard) Sanders of Little Rock; Minnie (Don) Vickers of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Theresa (Elridge) Kimble of Edmond, Okla.; Angela (Robert) Mason of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Donna Fudail of Little Rock; Djuana Thrash of Little Rock and Geraldine Ramsey of Oklahoma City, Okla. Nine brothers, John (Lisa) Wamble of Fairfield, Calif.; Amos (Wilma) Wamble of Edmond, Okla.; Marcus (Loretta) Wamble of Lago Vista, Texas; Wadie (Octavia) Moore of Little Rock; Carl (Naomi) Wamble of Springfield, Md.; Harry (Glendine) Moore of Little Rock; Stevie Moore of Little Rock, Phillip Wamble of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Danny Moore of Little Rock. He has nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A special friend, Stella Cupps. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Bethel AME Church, 600 N. Cedar, NLR.
