JOE WALLACE KEY, 77, of North Little Rock died Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at U.A.M.S. in Little Rock. Joe was born July 11, 1937 in Ouachita County, Ark. He served in the Arkansas and Texas National Guard and retired from civil service, where he was a heavy equipment mechanic. Joe loved hunting, building custom dog boxes, genealogy and collecting camark pottery. Joe was a lifelong Church of Christ, baptized at the age of 12 and as long as his health allowed attended the Bearden Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie W. Key and Ruby Tilley Key and two sisters, Dorothea Key Gurnsey and Lucell Key Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna Rogers Key of North Little Rock; two sons, Jimmie Key of North Little Rock, Joe Wesley Key and wife, Traci of Rogers; one daughter, Gena Robin Cannon and husband, Kelly of Bella Vista; four grandchildren, Samantha Key of Little Rock, Jordan Key of Fayetteville, Jacob Key and Lilliana Key both of Rogers. Visitation will be Monday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel Hill Cemetery near Sparkman.
