Doris Elwell Litwa

DORIS ELWELL LITWA, 93, of Little Rock died Feb. 7, 2015 at Briarwood Nursing Home. She was born May 13, 1921 in Gillett, Ark. to the late Edgar and Bertha Branhum Elwell. Mrs. Litwa will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. She had an entrepreneurial spirit; owning a dress store in Hot Springs, Doris' Carriage Shop, along with several other ventures, as well as being employed by Griffin-Leggett Funeral Home for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Rogers and Lloyd Elwell and two sisters, Vera Guinn and Harley Rogers. Her memory will be cherished by her two sons, Michael Litwa (Elizabeth) of Little Rock and Richard Litwa (Vanessa) of Carlisle; four grandsons, Kevin Litwa, Michael Litwa Jr., Richard Litwa Jr. and William Litwa; three granddaughters, Kim Neal, Stephanie Litwa and Mindy Litwa; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
