Emma Jean Woods

Emma Jean Woods, born August 23, 1932 left this earth to go be with her family and friends in Heaven on February 8, 2015. Emma Jean or "Memaw" as we called her. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs. She was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother. Nothing pleased her more than to have her family over for Sunday dinners and lots of games of dominos. She loved music and was a very devoted Andy Williams fan. Talking was by far her favorite pass time, with her doing all the talking then hanging up on you when she was tired of talking. Emma was preceded in death by her late husband, Henry Woods SR; son, Henry Woods JR.; brothers, Clifford Clift, Billy Clift, Bobby Clift and Lloyd Clift; sisters, Margie Sue Lowery, Veta Newton, Mary Lou Campbell; also father, Reverend Louis Clift and mother, Amy Mabel Clift. She is survived by sons, Danny (Debby) Woods; Marty (Jana) Woods; sister, Mattie (Fred) Stuebe; three grandchildren, Autumn Wylie, Ashton Travis, and Jeremy Woods, along with four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Rev. John Hagan officiating.
