Floyd B Dickerson

Mr. Floyd B. Dickerson, 90, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Little Rock. He was born September 26, 1924, in Moffit, OK, to Richard Lee and Ocie Lee (Floyd) Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 42nd Infantry Division earning a Bronze star. He enjoyed fishing and tying his own flies. Floyd was a State Championship boxer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Clarksville. Floyd was the best dad. Mr. Dickerson is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Dickerson. He is survived by his sons, James and Deb Dickerson of Clarksville, Larry and Brucene Dickerson of Little Rock, Keith and Wanda Dickerson of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Michelle Hardy, Kim Young, Tabitha Hoyt, Heather Swanson, Stephanie Shepherd, and Susan Schroeder; nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Thursday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Dickerson's funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Darrell Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
