Vance R. Vermillion

Vance R. Vermillion Sr. peacefully passed away on Feb. 7, 2015 in to the arms of his loving Savior. Vance was born in Guthrie, Okla., Dec. 1, 1936. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita, father Walter, sister, Shirley Buchanan and son, Vance R Vermillion II. He was survived by his loving wife, Louise of Bryant, his two sons, Zane Vermillion (C.C.) and Duane Vermillion (Debra), and a daughter Dona Tinkler (LeRoy). He also had six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Vance was retired from the US Postal Service and several other ventures. Vance coached PeeWee Football and Little League Baseball for over 40 years at Geyer Springs and Bryant Youth Ass'ns .. His baseball and football teams won various league and state titles. Vance enjoyed vacationing in the Lake City, Colorado area. Vance will be greatly missed by family and friends. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 11th. 2015 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church, 5420 W 35th St., Little Rock 72204. In Lieu of flowers, please make all memorials to Fairview Baptist Church Missionary Fund.
