Emory Lowell "Chuck" Rogers, age 77, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015. He was born August 22, 1937 in Conroe, Texas to the late Emery Alfred Rogers and Nellie Estelle Fussell Rogers. He was a graduate of Lufkin High School and attended at college from Texas A&M and Stephen F. Austin. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, and a Shriner. He volunteered in many things including; disaster relief, prison ministry, Pilot to take children to the Shriners Hospital, driving seniors "Old Folks" on trips, ABBA Arkansas Baptist Bikers Association, Gideons, Prayer Shaw Ministry, Sunday school teacher, and he also served as a missionary in Russia, Romania and Mexico. He retired from truck driving after 50 years and for the last 39 years he worked for E.T. Motor Freight and ABF. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Bonnie Lee Rogers, children; Cherie Camron and her husband Glen of Longview, Texas, Jack Harold Rogers of The Colony, Texas, Tammy Philson and her husband Reimus of Dallas, Texas, two stepchildren; Jamie Gammill, Renee Jones and her husband Ed all of Linden, Texas, one sister Whitney Ann Kitchens and husband Gerald of Baytown, Texas five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Warren Springs Cemetery in Linden, Texas. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory (501) 982-2136.
