Joseph Edgar Casbeer

Mr. Joseph Edgar Casbeer, age 72, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly long time resident of Forrest City, Ark. died Thursday Feb. 12, 2015 in Memphis. Mr. Casbeer was born July 22, 1942 in Memphis. He was the son of John Virgil Casbeer Sr. and Tolise King Casbeer of Forrest City and grandparents Dr. Joseph Lanier Casbeer and Julia Dorris Casbeer of Colt, Ark. and John Edgar King and Nancy Davis King of McCrory. Ark. Mr. Casbeer attended Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tenn. and graduated from Forrest City High School in 1960. He attended Arkansas State University and Arkansas College now Lyon College. Mr. Casbeer served in the Marine Reserves and was associated for many years with the family clothing business, Taylor-Casbeer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City and had be a resident at Kennington Pointe in Memphis the past 14 years. Mr. Casbeer was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents and is survived by a brother, John Casbeer and wife Libby of Forrest City; a niece, Nancy Pohl of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; and nephew, King Casbeer of Wynne, Ark. also survives him. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Feb.18, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Forrest City. The family request memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 101 S.
