Earl Walter Feurtado, Junior, 85, of Little Rock went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was born on June 10, 1929, in Marshall, Texas, where he grew up. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Martha Rose Maranto. He is survived by his son, Earl W. Feurtado, III, and wife Margaret of Little Rock; a daughter, Sharon Purcell and husband Melvin of Garland, Texas; five grandchildren, Steven Purcell, Stephanie Brown, Philip Feurtado, Shelby Feurtado and Matthew Feurtado; five great-grandchildren, Branden Purcell, Brittney Purcell, Mallory Purcell, Lily Purcell and Willow Duke; and his brother, Jack Warren Feurtado and wife Violet of Parker, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Feurtado was a faithful member of Little Rock First Nazarene Church for 47 years, teaching adult Sunday School, ushering and serving on the church board. He was employed for the University of Arkansas Medical Center as Assistant Director of the Computer Services for 22 years, retiring in August, 1991. He enjoyed photography, reading and traveling with his wife across America in their travel trailer. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 21, at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, Little Rock, Arkansas. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery, Alexander, Arkansas. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Earl Feurtado's name to the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries c/o Little Rock First Church of the Nazarene.
