Robert "Wilfred" Johnson, 87, passed away February 19, 2015 in Bentonville. He was born on September 5, 1927 in Cave Springs, Arkansas, to the late Hubert and Jewell (Arnold) Johnson. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked at Bear Brand Hosiery for 25 years, and then for Synergy Propane until he retired. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his friends. He was a true outdoorsman. He loved spending time with friends and family. He loved watching baseball. Friends especially enjoyed his dry sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice; daughter, Leah Jane; and brothers, Donald Johnson and Gary Johnson, and grandson, Sean Smith. Robert is survived by his daughters; Debbie (Bobby) Bland of Bentonville and Alicia (Terry) Smith of Jasper, Texas; brother, Phillip Johnson of Eatonton, Georgia; sister, Jacqueline Carmack of Springdale; five grandchildren, Jesse Bland of Nashville, Tennessee, John Bland of Bentonville, Anna Bland of Nashville, Tennessee, Leah Hebert of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Dawn Miroshnichenko of Houston, Texas; fourgreat-grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Jaydon, and Paige; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2015 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. His funeral is Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cave Springs. Burial will follow at Bentonville City Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many nurses and staff at Bentonville Manor, that helped take care of our Dad, and making his life pleasant and showing him so much love. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Bentonville, 201 NW 2nd Street, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712.
