Myrtle Irene Harrison

Myrtle Irene Harrison, 95, of Durham, Ark., died Oct. 15, 2015 at her home. She was born May 14, 1920 at Floydada, Texas, the daughter of William Andrew and Nora Leta Gordon Russell. She was a homemaker, a member of Living Hope Assembly, and the widow of John Raymond Laughlin and William Clay Harrison. She was also preceded in death by one son, Johnny Ray Laughlin and two brothers, William Russell and Truman Russell. Survivors include one son, Stephen Harrison of the home; one daughter, Junia Fay West of Durham, Ark.; two sisters, Tishie Edens of Lowell, Ark. and Loreta Hoskins of Saint Paul, Ark.; four grandsons; five great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Living Hope Assembly in Elkins with The Reverends David Mashburn and Jared West officiating. Interment will be in the Wesley Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home-Huntsville, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net. Pallbearers will be Stephen Harrison, Jared West, Jonathan West, Ricky Laughlin, Trelane Laughlin, and Johnny Austin. Visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Brashears. Memorials may be made to Gideon's International.
