Tanner Jacob Smith

Tanner J. Smith, 5, of Vidor died Sunday, October 18th, 2015 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Tanner was a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and was raised in Lincoln, Arkansas before moving to Vidor, Texas 9 months ago. Tanner attended Vidor Elementary School and loved basketball, monster trucks and Buffalo Wild Wings. Family and his baby sister Tynlea was very important to Tanner, God was his hero. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Turning Point Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Tanner is survived by his mother Ashley Phillips of Vidor, Texas, father Jacob Smith of Lincoln, Ark., sister Tynlea Smith of Vidor, Vidor, grandparents Melissa Phillips of Vidor, Texas, John and Gwen Phillips of Canehill, Ark., Robbie and Rebecca Marlow of Colcord, Okla., Dennis and Odessa Smith of Prairie Grove, Ark., great-grandparents Howard and Barbara Greathouse of Vidor, Texas, Ted and Cheryl Farris of Canehill, Ark., Charles and Sue Whitworth of Trafalgar, Ind., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
