Myrtle Peterson

Myrtle Reece Cady Peterson, 89, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015. She was born April 5, 1926 in Faulkner County, Arkansas to the late John William and Martha Ella Glass Reece. She was a member of the American Legion and past president of Women's Auxiliary of the VFW. She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Cady Hauck, Jan Cady Waldrip (Jon) and Caron Cady, all of North Little Rock; sister, Virginia Wingfield, of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Kelli Hauck Mills, of Grapevine, Texas, Terri Hauck Hippensteel (Curt) of Follansbee, West Virginia, Jill Waldrip Davis (James) of North Little Rock and Jonathan Waldrip, of North Little Rock; seven great-grandchildren, Charlie, Emily and Sara Mills, Max and Sam Hippensteel, and Caroline and James Davis. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Cady and Walter Peterson; and her sister, Hazel Stancil. She loved her girls, grandchildren, painting, gambling, fishing and dancing. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Conway.
