Mary Helen Lamb

Mary Helen Lamb passed away at home, Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 in Heber Springs, Ark. She was born July 19, 1950 in Forrest City, Ark. to Nettie Virginia Kelso Shepherd and Theddie Ray "Jack" Shepherd of Forrest City, Ark. Her father and her brother, Johnny Ray Shepherd, as well as her grandparents, Preston and Virgie Shepherd and Floyd and Florence Kelso all preceded her in death. Mary Helen and Larry D. Lamb of Bunny, Ark. were married Dec. 19, 1981 in Jonesboro, Ark. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Larry Lamb of Heber Springs; her mother, Nettie Shepherd Bateman of Forrest City; and siblings include brothers, James Shepherd of Crawfordsville, Ark., Glenn (Sherry) Shepherd of Forrest City, Ark., and sister, Doris (Mike) Anderson of Sherwood, Ark.; and stepdaughter, Kelly Lamb of Evansville, Ill. Other survivors include grandchildren: Carissa, Drew, Micah, and Blake Schaefer and two great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and life-long friends. Mary Helen retired from AT&T/SBC in 2001, after 31 years of service. Her career assignments included service to areas across the state.
