Clarence Michael Bowen, 80, of North Little Rock passed away January 2, 2016. He was born August 7, 1935 in Yell County, Arkansas to Clarence A. and Annie Ethel Burris Bowen. He was a deacon for 46 years, currently chairman, and a trustee at Calvary Baptist Church. Clarence was a licensed surveyor and retired after 38 years with Thomas Engineering. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patsy Fowlkes Bowen; two daughters, Michelle DePriest (Roy) and Louise Brillhart (James); sister, Melba Besancon; nine grandchildren, Philip Davenport, Stephen Davenport, John Davenport, Mary Holman, Rebekah Cooksey, Matthew Brillhart, John Brillhart, Morgan DePriest and Hayden DePriest; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Long and Ida Ann Dean; daughter, Brenda Davenport; and son, Gerald Wayne Bowen. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 505 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church, North Little Rock. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Pearson Cemetery, Cleburne County, Arkansas.
