Eloise Ann "Wheezy" Owen, 9, of Cabot, went to see Jesus, Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016. She was born June 15, 2006 in Little Rock to Clayton and Sarah Shaw Owen. She was a third grade student at Southside Elementary School and was a member of Fellowship Bible Church. Our Eloise almost completed her 7th year at Pricilla's School of Dance where she was active in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and tumbling classes. Wheezy LOVED to be on any stage and in front of any audience. Eloise's competitive spirit made her a force to be reckoned with on both the basketball and volleyball courts. She frustrated both opposing players as well as parents of the opposing teams with her ferocious defense. She approached life as she approached sports and dance-wide open! Fear was not in her vocabulary. No fear in life, no fear in death, child of the King! Eloise is survived by her parents, Clayton and Sarah Owen; her brothers: Samuel John Owen, Abraham Matlock Owen and Ezekiel Daniel Owen; her maternal grandparents, Dr. Sam and Ruth Shaw of Germantown, Tenn.; her maternal great-grandfather, Samuel Shaw of Memphis, Tenn.; her paternal grandparents, Dr. Johnny and Kathy Owen of Conway; her paternal great-grandmother, Ethelene "Mamatene" Matlock; aunts and uncles: Corrie and Nathan Peak, Joseph and Krystal Shaw, Charles and Rebecca Shaw and Darren Owen; and cousins: Sadie, Frankie, Nehemiah, Evan and Vinson. Eloise was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Retta Shaw and her paternal great-grandfather, Leo Matlock. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 in the Fine Arts Auditorium at Cabot High School. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday at First Baptist Church Cabot with Thommy Scott officiating. Arrangements are by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, (501) 843-5816. Please sign the online guestbook at www.moorescabotfuneralhome.com. Donations can be made in Eloise's name to Arkansas Children's Hospital, CVICU unit or The Mid South Make a Wish Foundation. The family would like for all who attend to wear bright pink or turquoise in memory of Wheezy's two favorite colors.
