Mary Ann Dawson

Mary Ann Dawson, 89, of Covington, Tenn. formerly of Benton, passed away January 14, 2016. She was born September 22, 1926 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Clarence Columbus and Cora Edna Westbrook Rood. Mary worked many years at West Side Pharmacy in Benton. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Covington, Tenn. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dawson and granddaughter, JaclynRenee Dawson. She is survived by her son, John R. (Jackie) Dawson and daughter, Connie (Carl) Holland, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tim Finley, Buddy Grifford, Ryan Dawson, Austin Warford, Kyle Rottet, Colton, Rottet and Heath Warford. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Saturday with Bro. Jason Tallent officiating. Burial will follow at Fairplay Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. before services on Saturday. On line guestbook at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
