Lila M. Thompson

Lila M. Thompson, 81, of Elkins died peacefully in her home on Jan. 14, 2016 under the care of Circle of Life Home Hospice. Lila was born Aug. 4, 1934 in West Fork, Ark., the daughter of Robert Brown and Madie Wooton Brown. She moved to California as a child and grew-up in Lodi, Calif., graduating from Lodi Union High School. She married in 1952 and had two children. After remarriage to Robert Thompson, the couple returned to Arkansas in the early 1980's. Lila was a homemaker and a Baptist. Lila is survived by her loving husband of over 40 years, Robert Thompson; her daughter, Fran Lane and spouse, Holly Park of Fayetteville; and her son, John Smith and spouse, Eddie Keator of Oakland, Calif. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at Beard's Chapel. Private interment will be in West Fork Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
