Diann Carr McKenzie Moody

Diann Carr McKenzie Moody, 60, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Diann was a loving, caring person who loved her family, friends, and her church family. She also enjoyed cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks. She was a Federal Technician for the US Government and had 33 years of military service in the Army National Guard. She is survived by her husband, Edward Moody, of the home; one son, Matthew McKenzie (Ashley Pruitt), grandsons: Corbin Xander McKenzie and Silas Maxwell McKenzie of Conway, Arkansas; three sisters: Joan Gail Carr of Hector, Arkansas, Brenda Jo Carr of Cleveland, Arkansas, and Viola Lynn Carr-Mourot (Dana) of Solgohachia, Arkansas; two brothers: John Dale Carr (Phyllis) and Darold Carr both of Cleveland, Arkansas; nieces and nephews: Melissa Carr-Stratton (Sean) of Burleson, Texas, Samantha Nicole Maxwell-Keelin (Kerry) of Conway, Arkansas, Brandon Chase Mourot of Conway, Arkansas, and Bridgette Leigh Mourot-Russell (David) of Morrilton, Arkansas; great-nieces and nephews: Kimber Nicole Keelin of Orlando, Florida, Nathan James Keelin of Conway, Arkansas, Cole Stratton and Garrett Stratton of Burleson, Texas and a host of other family members. Diann was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome Carr and Anna Mae Gertrude Carr of Cleveland, Arkansas; sister, Patricia Carr-Maxwell and nephew, Nathan Maxwell both of Oppelo, Arkansas. The family would to give a special thanks to Hospice Care who took such wonderful care of Diann during her stay. The love and support shown by many are greatly appreciated. Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, 2016, from 1-3 p.m. at Steel Bridge Baptist Church in Lonoke, Ark. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 23, 2016, following visitation, at Steel Bridge Baptist Church at 3 p.m. She will have military funeral honors at internment on Monday, January 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in NLR, Ark. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
