Willard Eugene Thomason

Willard Eugene Thomason age 80 of Caddo Valley died Thursday, January 21, 2016. He was born March 28, 1936 in Stratford, Okla. the son of Dave Stell and Gussie Mae Cash Thomason. Willard was retired from the Corps of Engineers and a Baptist. He was very active in the Caddo Valley Community having served as Mayor for 8 years, one of the original Caddo Valley Volunteer Fire Department members, worked with the Caddo Valley Water and Sewer Department for 20 years, served as Caddo Valley City Councilman, on the A and P Committee, Caddo Valley Planning Commission, and member of the Arkadelphia Lion's Club. Survivors include his wife, Estelene Morrison Thomason, one son, David Thomason and his wife Marcile of Caney, one daughter, Lori Morrison and her husband Tommy of Russellville, four grandchildren, Heath Thomason and his wife Brittany and Lainie Thomason, Leanna Watkins and husband Kevin and Lisa Morrison. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 25th in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Hollis McDermott officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund or Group Living Inc.
