Lucille Milhoan Clay, 97 of Springdale went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2016 at Springdale. She was born to Joseph J. and Beatrice Bach Milhoan in Hartford, Arkansas. Lucille and Lamar Clay were married at First Baptist Church in Paris, Arkansas on February 17, 1937. Lucille and Lamar moved to Northwest Arkansas over 60 years ago. Lucille was a member of Cross Church Springdale. Lucille taught art for over 25 years in Springdale. Each student was loved by Lucille and they knew it. She taught many children and adults. She had an art class of women that have been taking lessons for 20 years. They each love her like a mother. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lamar, and three brothers, Joe Jr., Gene and Kenneth Milhoan. Lucille and Lamar both had a servant's heart and they had numerous foster children. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Jeanne Clay of Fayetteville; her cousins, Dale and Jane Kellogg of Springdale; one niece, Joetta Duke of North Little Rock and a host of other family members and countless friends. Funeral services will be Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10 a.m. Cross Church Springdale with Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Private burial services will follow afterwards at Bluff Cemetery.
